Kent-based landscaping contractors, Willerby Landscapes, has installed Paynes Turf’s Premium Grade Turf at one of London’s most iconic residential developments, Battersea Power Station.
The £750 million renovation project at Battersea Power Station will house 254 apartments in the historic building itself, along with over 3,000 homes spread over the 42-acre site. House prices at Battersea Power Station will range from £1 million for studio apartments to £4 million for four bedroom homes.
Owing to the prestigious nature of the project, turf installed in the development’s gardens and landscaped areas had to be of the finest quality. This is why Paynes’ Premium Grade Turf was selected for the job.
“We’re thrilled to have our turf installed at such a historic location in London. Our turf is renowned nationwide for its durability and high quality, and its thick green texture makes it very attractive – perfect for locations such as the Battersea Power Station development”, said John Payne, partner at Paynes Turf.
At the development’s launch event, prospective house buyers were invited to an extravagant marquee party and entertained by one of the world’s top rock stars, Elton John.
