Essex based turf and topsoil supplier, Paynes Turf, has recently been awarded the FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) accreditation, a voluntary certification scheme that measures fleet operators according to strict industry standards. Unlike most turf growers, Paynes Turf operates its own fleet of vehicles, including several artic lorries, enabling the company to offer one of the fastest and most reliable delivery services in the business. The FORS accreditation means that Paynes Turf can continue to enhance its already exceptional delivery service.
The FORS scheme requires fleet operators to meet a number of standards based upon legal compliance, safety, efficiency, and environmental protection, as set out by the certification body. Companies recognised with FORS accreditation are required to work lawfully and to a best practice FORS standard. To ensure compliance and an upkeep of high standards, formal company audits are carried out on a regular basis by an independent FORS auditor.
